If you visit The Marina, you will immediately notice it lacks the noise and clutter that exists in a large working marina. We pride ourselves in being just the opposite - a clean, quiet and comfortable place to keep your boat. Located just a few miles off Highway 50, The Marina is convenient for anyone coming from outside Annapolis.

Since taking ownership of The Marina, Boyd and Gretchen Tomkies have made a commitment to make environmentally friendly property enhancements that support a healthy Chesapeake Bay and create a serene and peaceful location for slip holders and their guests. We have taken sustainable actions to reduce runoff and conserve water, energy and other vital resources.

• Thanks to a partnership with the South River Federation, the Marina was awarded a grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust to support the installation of a 200+ foot living shoreline.
• The property offers toilet facilities that include a high-tech composting toilet, solar panel energy, timer-driven lighting, and a cistern that supplies hand-washing water.
• Native plants surround the parking lot, shoreline and driveway to help filer runoff into Gingerville Creek and the South River.
• A new retention wall was built of “Smart Slope” block. It is filled with native plants adding to the natural beauty of the property
